Biography

A distinguished trial lawyer since 1997, Bonnie Richardson has long championed clients who have been wronged by the powerful and privileged. Recognized as an expert strategist known for managing complex litigation. This includes complicated tort cases, professional malpractice (legal malpractice, accounting malpractice, medical malpractice, fiduciary malpractice), estate and trust litigation and business litigation. Bonnie is most passionate about advocating to protect the vulnerable – whether they be elders or children – from exploitation, abuse, assault, and neglect.

Bonnie frequently presents at Continuing Legal Education seminars to attorneys for the Oregon State Bar, Multnomah Bar Association, Oregon Trial Lawyers Association, the National Business Institute, and many other organizations. A nationally known speaker on legal malpractice and ethics, Bonnie has been selected for several years as one of Oregon’s Super Lawyers®, where she is listed in the top 25 women lawyers and top 50 lawyers in Oregon.

Bonnie’s expertise and devotion to the law have been widely recognized and rewarded. In 2020, she received the Portland Business Journal Women of Influence award alongside Oregon Attorney General Ellen Rosenblum and Oregon Supreme Court Justice Adrienne Nelson. In 2016, the Multnomah Bar Association selected Bonnie as the recipient of its prestigious and highest honor, the Professionalism Award. Bonnie earned the Portland Business Journal Forty Under 40 award in 2011, and in 2009, the Multnomah Bar Association recognized her exceptional legal services with its Pro Bono Award of Merit. Her commitment to justice was featured by the Oregon Trial Lawyers Association in the article, “Making a Difference: Justice for Those in Need.”
